Englewood, CO, May 17, 2022 – Wakefield Asset Management, LLLP, is pleased to announce the Wakefield Large Cap Equity Strategy received the award for Manager of the Year by Envestnet, Inc. (NYSE: ENV) and Investment Advisor magazine in the U.S. Equity Large Cap category. The Large Cap Portfolio is managed by G. Todd Gervasini, the Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer for Wakefield Asset Management, LLLP. Wakefield also received the same Manager of the Year award in 2018, making them one of the few to have ever received the award twice.
“It’s an honor to be recognized by Envestnet’s highly respected research team”, said G. Todd Gervasini, Founder and Managing Partner. “Receiving the Manager of the Year award means a great deal to our investment team and our entire staff.”
The award, now in its 18th year, recognizes high-conviction portfolio managers that go above and beyond in setting a positive example for others in the industry to emulate – from outperforming the markets, to serving investors and everything in between. Envestnet | PMC developed a systematic, proprietary, and multi-factor methodology for selecting award winners, taking many qualitative and quantitative criteria into consideration. These criteria include investment process and style, composite, customer service, tax efficiency, performance, and firm profile. Eligible managers must be broadly available on the Envestnet platform and open to new investors—and must have at least three years of experience, and $200 million in assets under management.
Wakefield Asset Management, LLLP is a bottom-up research driven firm offering a unique investment strategy that stands apart from the mainstream investment community. Headquartered near Denver, Colorado, Wakefield is a 100% employee-owned SEC registered investment advisor managing separately managed accounts, primarily for high-net worth individuals, family offices, and institutions.
